Who we are

This website is run by Kortes Barbers Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17406926. Registered office: Unit 15 The Shed, Sergeants Yard, Bordon, England, GU35 0DJ. We are responsible for any personal information described in this notice.

What this website collects

This website doesn’t ask you for any personal information. The only cookies it sets are Google Analytics cookies, and only if you choose to accept them (see below).

• No advertising trackers, forms or accounts.
• Fonts, images and video load from this website, not from third-party services.
• “Copy address” puts the studio’s address on your own device’s clipboard. Nothing is sent to us.
• The open-now status and today’s hours are worked out in your browser from the published opening hours.

Hosting

This website is hosted by IONOS. Like most web hosts, IONOS keeps short-term server logs, which can include your IP address, the page you asked for and the time. They are used only to keep the service secure and working, and are kept for a limited time before being deleted, as set out in the IONOS privacy policy.

Cookies and analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website, for example which pages are visited and whether people go on to book. It doesn’t tell us who you are. Google Analytics does not store your IP address.

Nothing from Google loads until you choose “Accept” on the cookie panel. If you choose “Reject”, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page; turning analytics off removes its cookies.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets these cookies:

• _ga: tells one visit from another. Lasts up to 2 years.
• _ga_5VT1TCCRKN: keeps track of your current visit. Lasts up to 2 years.

Your choice itself is remembered in your browser’s storage, not in a cookie, so we don’t ask again on every page. It never leaves your device.

Google acts as our processor and may handle data outside the UK, under safeguards approved by UK law. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Google privacy policy. The legal basis for analytics is your consent.

Booking and other websites

Bookings are made on Booksy, not on this website. When you book, Booksy handles your details under its own privacy policy, and shares with us what we need to give you your appointment, such as your name, contact details and booking history. Links to Instagram, Google Maps, what3words and The Shed also take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

Emails and visits to the studio

If you email us, we use your name, email address and what you write only to reply to you. We don’t add you to a mailing list or pass your details on, and we delete the email once we no longer need it.

We don’t keep a record of walk-in visits. Card payments in the studio go through our card payment provider; we never see or store your full card details.

We rely on our legitimate interest in running the business and answering your questions to use information in these ways. For analytics, we rely on your consent.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@kortesbarbers.co.uk. We’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
